I make films.
Well there’s a little more to it than that. Having first played with my grandfather’s videocameras at a young age and my Dad’s old Pentax 35mm SLRs, then getting hold of my first MiniDV handycam at the age of 16 (I really don’t miss logging footage from all those tapes!), I have been involved with filmmaking and photography for almost 15 years.
What started out as a hobby gradually turned into a serious passion while studying a degree in Digital Film Production and as videos became noticed it slowly became a job, with clients and collaborators including Red Bull, Monster Energy, Jeep, Fox Clothing, MPORA and more.

Beside a chance for new creative opportunities, the introduction of DSLRs brought my childhood passion of photography back into my work alongside filmmaking which has resulted in many more exciting opportunities and adventures, most recently in the roles of staff photographer at Niseko Photography in Japan and my current role of official photographer at Thunderbomb Surfcamp in Nicaragua.
“Ben worked for us over the 2014-15 winter season in Niseko Japan as a photographer/videographer and mountain guide. Ben has incredible talent and was one of our most valued employees. He is a perfectionist and never did we have to worry about the quality of his photos or video as they were always beautifully captured and edited, and of an extremely high quality.”
