The New Zealand winter season is a popular destination for northern hemisphere snowboarders who at the end of their winter season feel they need a little more snow time. For those fortunate enough to make a career out of their hobby, it means more contests, trips and practise time for the next winter.

‘Vacation?’ looks at the professional snowboarding scene, and the contest circuit attached to it, on the southern island of New Zealand in the towns of Wanaka and Queenstown. With the terrain parks of Cardrona, Snowpark NZ (now sadly closed), and more within easy reach it becomes host to many of the world’s visiting pros through the southern hemisphere winter.
