Plastic Playground has been covered by Pilchard Productions in it's entirety since 2016, with drone pilot Dave AV on board to document the contest runs via drone. For 2022 Liquid Leisure hosted the WWA Wakepark World Championships as an alternative to Plastic Playground.
An 8 minute, in-depth event highlight film covered the event and provided insight into the judging process with head judge John Dreiling, and course preview by professional wakeboarder Anna Nikstad. The film was screened at the final night of the event and subsequently released online.
In addition, coverage includes a full 45 minute recap show of all Pro category rider runs  from semi finals onwards with MC voicover, released the day after the event, plus short films, trailers and course previews beforehand to announce the event, build excitement and provide information.
With the world's best riders and unique, groundbreaking course setups, the Plastic Playground events are the ultimate stage for progressive wakeboarding in a contest environment. The tour returned for 2023 alongside the WWA Wakepark Worlds 2023, both hosted at Liquid Leisure and covered by Pilchard Productions.
